A year has passed since I last volunteered for
The Great Escape Festival. A weekend of voluntary work may not sound like fun for everyone, but for me it was great experience in an industry I try and dig my claws into all the time.
This year I volunteered again, my passion for creativity and an urge to sink my teeth into the music industry once again causing me to sign up.
It was easier for me to choose this year. I live in Brighton now, so travel is no longer an issue. I made sure my calendar was free for the entirety of the festival, and set my sights on making more of a mark than I did last year.
This year I will be packing my DSLR, and giving everyone a day by day guide to the goings on of behind the scenes work at The Great Escape.
Last year I was hurling myself around brighton, picking up pizzas, getting clickers for the door security, sorting out band riders and setting up the stage rigs, leaving me with about 10 minutes to myself to eat, and sit down.
I expect more of the same this year, with so much going on it will be a thoroughly enjoyable experience.
Oh and I just got back from
Seven Sisters country park. Took some gorgeous wildlife pictures and will upload them shortly.
